How is everybody doing? Noone has posted in quite a while.
Happy Mother's Day to all. |
I am loving this thread. It is so inspiring watching this thread. You are all so amazing. Who will do the final quilting?
|
Beautiful pictures ladies! Just looking at these inspires me to make some from my 'wish list.'

Hello, everyone! I am alive and well here in beautiful IN. I have been outside in my flowers and veggie gardens for the last couple of weeks. I do walk through my sewing room now and then! I am anxious to finish the border on Judith's quilt. I plan to get started in the next few days. It will be completed ON TIME!! :o-even when quilting is on the back burner, I know it is my first love! It's easier on my old back than outside work.
As for the quilting part, I plan to do my own, as always. That means it might be a while until it is ready to display, unfortunately.... Happy piecing! Nancy. |
Nice to hear from you Nancy. Glad you have been able to work outside - hard on the body but good for the soul.
I also will do my own quilting and like Nancy, not sure when it will be complete. |
Hi everyone, I am still working on my round. I have picked an ambitious border. So, will be working very hard to have it done on time. I love how it's coming and hope you will also Paula.
I'm pretty sure that I will be doing my own quilting as well. But, I want to put a final border on it when it comes home. (I think anyway.) We'll see when it comes home. In theory, I like the idea of being the first and the last. That's why I went with a smaller center. We will see.... I am enjoying as much of the spring weather as I can. Hope you all are as well. |
Hi Blue Robins,
Just checking in to let you know that I am running right to schedule. I lost my quilty mojo there for awhile. So, I have been making myself work on my border in small increments. Well I think my mojo is finally back. I have been absorbed in working on Paula's quilt top of late. I cannot wait to get to the next design element. That will almost get me to the place I need to be just prior to actually attaching the border. I think I have finally found my passion again. I am not kidding, I have done very little piecing or quilting. I have been working on a knit blanket. And reading. I have to work the next few days. I can't wait to get back to my border. (lol) Figures, lol. The weather has been just a little cooler. (A little too cool for me.) I can't wait for the sunshine to warm my bones. NO complaints from me about it being too HOT! I haven't been able to see my grandson again yet. My mother has had some continued health issues. Trying to get them under control so I can go visit and give my grandbaby some cuddles. sigh. I have planned another trip to go see him next month. (Fingers crossed!) I look forward to seeing what you come up with Nancy. I am starting to get excited to see all the wonderful additions, in person, that you have all added to my quilt top. The journey is almost over. I have a question Blue Robins? Should we keep the last border a secret until the person receives her quilt top. So that she will be the first one to see her quilt top in it's entirety. I'm fine with whatever yall decide. |
Judith - Glad to hear you got your mojo back. Quilting has taken a backseat this week as we have had family in town for my step-daughter's wedding. Excited to see her with her daddy (my dear, nervous hubby) as they walk down the isle tomorrow - One of life's precious moments.
I vote for taking but NOT showing pictures until the quilts are home. Then please share and I will make a side-by-side of each (center only and the finished top) for posting to the thread. |
That is stunning, love the colors
|
That is my vote also Paula. What about the rest of you?
