This is what I made last Sunday, and I am just so pleased with it. It is made from scraps of a quilt I made for my colleague at school who retired after 31 years of teaching. I really miss her at work, and now this little scrapcatcher reminds me of her everytime I step into my sewing room!

It stays on the table because the pincushion is filled with birdcage gravel. I know that's a weird filling, but it was Sunday and I didn't much on hand except bird gravel. I'd used all my rice in those pincushions that look like a piece of cake. Of course, I could just not wait to get something on Monday!
