Scrap Quilt in the Works
1 Attachment(s)
A scrap quilt for my GS in NH. Using anything and everything in this
quilt which he could probably use now with all the snow and no power. Enjoy |
Very nice!!

Great use of all those small strips ! He will love it and if this early storm is any indication of the winter to come he will certainly make use of it .
Great job... I love scrap quilts!
Nice quilt and very masculine, too. Great way to use up quite a lot of scrap material. Good job.
Very nice! Great use of scraps
it will be great. love what you have done so far.
Nice. I am sure he will love it. I like working on the scrappy quilts between other quilts. Before you know it, you have enough blocks to put one together.
Great job!!
I really like your quilt, nice having it on the slant like that. I love scrap quilts.
I think it is very nice!!! I am working on one right now, too, but I don't have such rich colors!! Lucky GS!!

I am beginning to appreciate these string quilts more and more and I blast through my scraps cutting away ... and holding onto those thinner strips for just this purpose. Our guild's community service will get a lot more from me this next year because of it.
Beautiful job! He'll love it! |
Great looking quilt!
That is going on my "to do" list. Really is sharp!
Great use of scraps ... looks like it will be very huggable.

Scrappy is always the most beautiful look for a quilt. Love the rectangle pattern.

Really pretty. That type is on my quilt bucket list.

Good-looking scrappy quilt. That's another item on my to-do list.
What size blocks are they? Are you sewing them to a backing?
Love all the colors
Your string/scrappy quilt is great. I am sure he will love it when he gets it, for now and all the future blizzards and no power. Will you do the back in flannel or cotton?
Very pretty!!

Blocks are 7 x 11 and sewn to muslin |
Hopefully his power is back on...I have been amazed on how many were still out on Friday at work . We rec'd our power back on Wednesday night. Thankfully we did have a generator. it has been crazy the last few years! You GS will love it...it looks wonderful and I am sure it will keep him warm all winter long.
Like your quilt. This is my favorite "I don't really have to think about it" block--I often make them when I want to watch TV and sew at the same time! I do mine on light weight muslin foundations.
Very nice!!!

Love it!!!

Love your scrappy quilt. I am pretty darn old and like to do fun stuff, not complicated just fun.
