"Scrappy" quilt for Africa Mission
 

Our quilting group has made this queen size quilt for a raffle, the money raised will go to Africa to help a community and an orphanage

What a great quilt and alot of work with what looks like 2 1/2 inch square blocks. Hope it brings in lots of money.

Nice! Now I know what to do with all of those 2 1/2 inch blocks I have been cutting!

We got 520 au$ and our pastor's wife won it. It was just the icing on her cake as at the time she was just in hospital with her youngest daughter who had major surgery due to her spina bifida. So we were all so happy for her to be blessed with this quilt!!! The money went to Africa to help at this orphanage http://www.kondanani.org/ A couple of our church are just over there right now to help.

Elfi2, I did the same thing....had to count the squares and calculate it! It's a lovely quilt!
