Scrappy Quilt - Pulsar is quilted
3 Attachment(s)
I made this quilt top over the winter and recently had it quilted. It already seems nice and cozy, like one that's been in the family forever. I just need to bind it.
I used a variety of scraps. Dark navy, indigo, and plum for the star points; peach and tan as the light colors; and then a good assortment of medium-valued colors to form strong diagonal patterns across the quilt. The quilting is subtle, but done in peach thread with a cloud-like design. I like how it looks on the back. The pattern is from a 1994 Quiltmaker magazine. Happy sewing! |

The pattern is called Pulsar and it appeared in the May/June 1994 issue of Quiltmaker (yes, 19 years ago, shown in the fabric if that time period - calicoes!). I can pass my pattern to you if you would like. the block is a version of "Providence Star" which is located on Quilter's Cache. I made 28 blocks. Half of the blocks have tan sides; the other 14 blocks have peach sides. Here is one block before the top was complete. |
A stunning quilt!

I really like the colors and the pattern you did a good job
|
Awesome as you say in the USA. I love it to pieces!!!! meticulous colour placement too giving the required effect throughout your quilt. Well done. I am sure you have a very tidy work room too, with attention to detail to that level?
|
Hi "JP". The quilting is just perfect. Adds another subtle dimension to Pulsar without taking away from fabrics, colors or pattern used.
