When I saw Scrappy Quilt Show I had to sign back in (been working on one since January). I LOVE SCRAPPY QUILTS! I found out that my grandmother made them and that's why I'm hooked. I used to watch her make them as a child and now I can't get enough of them!! These are JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!

I just had to add this one I just finished on Friday. It's a comfort quilt for a friend's son. He loves cats and asked for blues and greens. I think this fits the bill:

It certainly does, Linda! Great job. :)

Koriana, love that first quilt and how the little charms are laid out. What a neat idea. I hope you don't mind that I pinned that pic on my Pinterest Board. All your scrappys are so cute. Thanks for sharing. ( post 2318)

Wanted to post the first block of a king size quilt I've started for my son's graduation from law school next May. It's called Exploding Star and the pattern can be found in "Scrap Quilting Made Easy" by House of White Birches.

The Exploding Star is lovely! I look forward to seeing the completed quilt.

I posted those pics of the mile a minute quilts and this was the first chance I've had to go thru this thread again. Did you find anything on the mile a minute? My friend got the pattern instructions some years ago and we have, between the 2 of us, made about a dozen of these quilts. They are addictive and easy. It's just strips and bits, as the pattern calls them. You sew the bits onto the strips, cut them apart and they are called twoies, then you take them and sew them onto strips, cut them apart and they are called threeies, and it goes on and on. I try not to make the sheets of material too large, but big enough to cut 8.5" blocks out of them. But you can make your blocks any size, I choose 8.5" Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

So glad this post is still running. I love scrappy quilts. I haven't made it all the way through yet, but who cares. It's so much fun looking at all the quilts. Gets my creative juices flowing.
