I posted this design a while ago - my own original done in EQ but inspired by another member's avatar, from an out of print book called Log Cabins in the Round by Barbara Seinfeld. Mine is a little different in layout as the secondary pattern is fish rather than more seahorses as in the original. Here's the centre section pieced, I'm not thrilled with the darkest blue green - it's a shade too dark but was the best I had. I'll blend it in more when I FMQ. I'm waiting on fabric before I can start the border. I'm going to use the Hoffman seahorse fabric posted here by seahorsesanna. :-D

Thanks all - I'm sorry the photo is so rubbish - don't know what went wrong! I'll try to take another one tomorrow in daylight - it's evening here already. :-D

If a quilt can be 'too' pretty, this is one. Love it.

You work fast. Just few days ago I saw the design, and now the quilt. It is really beautiful. Congratulations

Thank you - unfortunately, I wasn't able to find it here in the UK so was going to order it in the US but them I found a similar batik fabric only printed with fish at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham this weekend, so I'm going to use that instead. :-D

Just read your post about the Festival, wonderful photos of your batiks you found.
