This is a small toddler bed quilt for my 2.5 year old son. He's been insisting that I make him his own "krilt", and we humor our tiny overlord! Get your shades on...it's a colorful one!

The back is just as bright solid orange, stitched in turquoise:

Thanks, friends. I think he will love it. Finished it at 9--after his bedtime, when all quilting takes place, LOL. It's in the wash now and he will be dragging it around come sunrise.

Aww, Sarah!! This is only the 5th quilt I have pieced, and it's only 36x40"! It *seems* easy because I didn't really tell how may seams I had to rip out, how wonky my squares were, or how many times I cussed.
Also...if you saw it close up, you'd see that EVERY point is lost. I don't think a single one of the HST's meets where it's supposed to, and I zoomed out to make sure no one can see that part too easily!
But, the only person who will be looking at it doesn't really care where the seams are.
I'm going to try to get a picture of him with it today!

A1penny 02-07-2012 04:00 AM

I'll bet your son loves it! I do too, I'm crazy about brights.

What a darling! I'll bet he doesn't care about corners matching. We are our own worst critics anyway.

That's why I love coming here. People here understand it isn't all about being perfect. It's about getting better every time we try something new. And about the expression of the person who'll receive our gifts.
