This is a little boy quilt I am doing for my nephew. I think I should maybe add a red border also.. Opinions please?

To me it only depends on what size you want it to end up. I think it looks great right now without...but if you need it to be bigger, well, it will look great with the red one also. I would just make sure it ends up wider than the blue border.
Could you take a picture with some of the red beside it on one side?
I like it as it is. |
It's lovely just the way it is. But the red would add a dramatic touch!
I am also considering a red binding..
i think it could take another border if you wanted it bigger - have you got enough of the red in the 9Ps? I agree it should be wider than the blue - maybe half as big again.

i would add red border and use red binding
That is a great quilt!!!!
Looks lovely just like that but it's up to you and how big you want it or how you want it to look....lot of help I am huh....:-)....sorry
I like it the way it is...but it is true what others are saying, it depends how much bigger you want to make the quilt.
Really cute quilt! |

my thoughts exactly for what it's worth..... BTW, beautiful quilt with or without any more border |
i'm sure whatever you land up doing will be just perfect :D
I like it just the way it is! The colors are really well balanced and the quilt is fantastic!
I would leave it and just use red binding. Unless you want to make it bigger, like the others said. :-)
I like it the way it is. The focus is in the center because the colors pop. But a red border/binding would add a punch.
If you want to make it bigger...I'd add the red. If not..it looks great now!! Beautiful!! :D
I agree with the others!
I think the red border would add a punch if you need it bigger but if not the red binding would be great too! Just my opinion! Kendra |
I also vote to leave the quilt as is and bind in red.
Since you asked...a red border would really make a statement. I like to use what ever fabric is on the back for the border. Love the quilt as it is too!

I love the blue border! Such a cute quilt.
It's very nice the way it is, but if you want it bigger - red would be great with it.
I like it just the way it is. A red border wouldn't be bad, but I don't think it's needed.
I like it just the way it is, but then the red would look good too. I love those monsters! He will love it I'm sure. :D
I wouldn't bother unless it needs to be bigger. Sometimes more is just more. It is a charming quilt.
I agree with everyone that said leave as is and bind in red.

I love the bright colors you've used. I like the borders the way you have them !
I think red would look so pretty on it as a border(:) sure is a pretty quilt
No extra border, but i would bind in the green. I think there is enough red in it and I like red.
I think it looks great just like it is... red binding would be awesome.

Your color choices are fabulous, it is just too dang cute!
just love it....
nice |
If you like the size, then just bind it in red. You can make your binding a little wider for punch - 2 1/2" isn't set in stone.
really cute. great the way it is, depends on how big you would like it.
Quilt is way to cute!! I think the red border would really add to it.
