I haven't made one but I like the little one that is made from the bottle top and you wear it like a ring. I have 2 of them, one for sharp pins and one for ball point pins. They are small and so convenient, especially for alterations.

Here's mine. It was my mom's - she bought it many years ago at a craft shop in North Carolina when she was there on vacation. She passed away 29 years ago and she used it for many years before she died.
I took it apart and washed it, replaced the filling, and put it all together again. The old stuffing had 28 sewing needles imbedded in it! |
adorable, what are they stuffed with?

Here's mine that I keep by my sewing machine. I made it from a teacup and matching saucer I found at Goodwill. This is my second one...the first one bounced of the table one time when it was too close to the edge and broke. :(
|
All of them are beautiful!!
I will say I love the tea cup the most. :-) |
Same here. Really like the tea cup, may make one.
|
I love them! I especially love the teacup!

I didn't add steel wool...I just used leftover batting scraps to fill the cup. Have fun! It's really neat to shop for cups for different people and make them to give as gifts! Been there, done that! :) |
I love those hat pin cushions..so adorable..
