Well, it's raining here. Again. Since I can't work in the garden right now I'll post more fabric pictures.
This group by South Sea Imports is due out in January - February 2010. A long wait but these look beautiful. What struck me when I first saw these designs was the beautiful vivid blue mountain coordinate. I was thinking that it's too strong a blue, but in the context of the other prints it adds a rich, deep, and welcome tone. And the group would be definitely lacking something if this was left out. So ... if any of you have been to the Rocky Mountains (I haven't), or live there, when you think of the mountains, do you think of them as blue? |

Now the wildflowers. They have a "painted" look.

My daughter is going to love these. She's a horse freak - in fact, she's competing in an equestrian competition today. I may have to pick up some of the horse fabric when it comes out.

I LOVE the panels and the horses with the mountians as a backing. The others I like but not as much LOL
I wil have to put them on my MUST GET |
You're right--the colors are so vibrant. The blue is eye catching.
When I was in elementary/jr. high we vacationed in the wild west. To answer your question, yes, the mountains can look blue, weather, season, direction, time of day, all play a part in their magnificent colorings. I loved when they had a pinkish tinge as the sun sank. A trip to the Rockies is a definite bucket list item, IMHO. |
amazing fabric, can i please have it when its ready he he he he

I'll definitely let you all know when the fabric is actually available. It's still a "future" group, not due out until early next year.
I figure most quilters probably have a few projects to keep them busy in the meanwhile. |
