While sorting items for a yard sale this past weekend I unearthed a few UFOs that I had TOTALLY forgotten about.
I went through a "mini quilt" phase some time back and apparently I packed these for a move and totally forgot about them.
I'm also adding a picture of my latest finished project... pieced but not quilted..lol

This double wedding ring is 8" across each "square" is just under 1"

These 8 pointed stars are 4" finished blocks, made with Jinny Beyer fabrics 4 down 8 to go

Got in a "bear" of a mood yesterday and made this little fellow.. he's 16" tall and fully jointed

Yep.. I plan on finishing all of them. I also found some Grandmother's Flower garden "blocks" that have hexagons the size of a nickle.. and an Amish Double Wedding ring, full sized, that I had started. I'll finish the minis first though.. and I need to make a bunch more Teddy Bears to sell for Christmas. I've been making those bears for years and just love them.

He's definitely a bear with "attitude"! I think it's great you are going to finish your finds...love the double wedding ring. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Just a bit of a note.. Mr. Bear has a new home.. a co-worker was diagnosed with vaginal cancer (she's only 30 years old!!) was scheduled to have surgery last week and stopped by to say hello before hand. She saw the fellow and fell in love so I sent him with her to watch over her during her surgery and recovery... He is officially a watchbear now. More are in the works. <smile> but it's difficult to find good quality "fur" locally. Still working on the mini blocks.

Like so many, I love the bear, too. I have a few. I like the quilts, too.

Tippy 09-15-2010 09:26 PM

Thanks to all for your lovely compliments.. I'm blushing.. honest!! That bear pattern is the best bear I've ever made and I've tried many different patterns over the years, and to my chagrin it's out of print.. I had to hunt and hunt to find another copy of it. Hugs to all!!

What a kind thing for you to do. Very touching. I like his new title, "Watchbear".
