Spiral table Runner
1 Attachment(s)
At our community choral gala, my DH bid on a musical spiral table runner, but it got too expensive. That was all the incentive I needed to purchase a pattern and special ruler to make this "musical" table runner, or piano top. I have been collecting music fabric for quite a while to make a music bag, but this came first."

I have made a bunch of these runners......I love the way you quilted it. Beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration:)

I love that pattern. Yours is beautiful! I would like to make one, but it looks hard to make.
I would like to make one too, but can't justify the cost of a 9* ruler.
That is beautiful. Well done.
Beautiful! Nice choice of fabrics!
Very pretty. Was it hard to make?
Awesome!!!!!!
I think 'awesome' too. Well done.
Wow, one of the prettiest I've seen.
Very pretty !!! I have the ruler and the pattern, just haven't gotten up the nerve to do one yet, looks difficult to me...
WOW! That is beautiful.
It is beautiful. I have the ruler and am in the process of selecting fabrics. Thanks for sharing.

If you pro rate the cost of the ruler over the number of runners you'll make, then it isn't much. I paid $20 for my ruler and Cheryl at Phillips Fiber Art included the pattern and shipping as a Christmas special. I've made four runners and have 4 more planned, so that's $2.50 each. They are like potato chips - you can't make just one.
The posted one is very pretty. Now another color combo I want to try, LOL. |
Beautiful, great colors, great job.
What is the pattern name and the ruler? That is stunning!! ...not that I have time to start something new right now but hope springs eternal.

pinecone, the pattern is Spicy Spiral and you use either a 9 or 10 degree ruler.
Thanks, Irishrose. I googled it and have the info bookmarked. Maybe someday...

I have made one of these and think it is a really sharp looking runner. Any theme can be used. Yours is lovely and the quilting on it is very attractive......:)

I made several of these and will give as Christmas gifts. I think it's such a stunning table runner. It's not hard; just time consuming, but fun to see it go together. I wanted to make the tree skirt pattern on the back of the ruler but DH tossed the paper the ruler was on (with the pattern). He was trying to be 'helpful' when we were cleaning up my sewing area. Didn't realize it was gone until I had my fabric selection made!

beautiful I love the music fabrics
very interesting....ourside of the box and I love it!
WOW! I love it.
