No that is just the fabric..LOL. I actually only quilted it using starts and loops....esy enough for an 18 year old guy who could care less about quilting technique.

Great quilt. Your fabric choices make the blue squares look like they are floating. Are you going to bind it in the blue or black?

AkAngel 05-25-2010 09:21 AM

very handsome quilt, the black/white with the blue centers is quite striking, I can see why this would be a popular pattern.

Charismah, This is a wonderful quilt for a young man. I like how the blue pops out at you. You make so many quilts. How do you have time for all of them plus a family? Eiltcoq.

Calico Grammy 05-28-2010 08:11 AM

I am binding in blue....I had enough to do either color..but his favorite color is blue...so using that.

Debbie B 05-28-2010 12:46 PM

That blue really stands out on the black. Looks great!

LucyInTheSky 05-28-2010 01:24 PM

What's interesting is how different it looks than your raspberry one. In the raspberry one, I think the blocks stand out a bit more ... it's easier to tell where each block is. These blocks blend together more and it looks like you put blue squares on top of a quilt... I don't know if I'm describing it well. Both are stunning!

I know ..I have actually made three of these...the first one is very blended and beautiful......The Raspberry one is kind of modern? I am not sure how to describe the raspberry one either...I just loved that print with the polka dots...classy? This blue one is perfect for a guy and the blue just makes the whole quilt! Thanks for looking!
