So I posted pictures of my new fabric, and finally decided on a pinwheel quilt. I think I am going to like this. Each block will have a brown border, Then I will add in squares of the fabric used in the quilt at the intersection of each strip.

Yes, today is my sewing day, so I will def. post pictures of the progress made today. I was cutting fabric last night, and I was curious, how many layers should be the max to cut at once?

The more layers, the more likely the fabric can shift slightly as you cut. I usually only cut 2 (but sometimes up to 4) layers at a time as I am unable to hold the ruler firmly enough to cut more without shifting.

It depends on what you can manage without getting that slight movement which can end up making a big difference to your block sizes or crooked cuts.
