I made this block from scraps from another project - a long time ago.

It is NOT paper-pieced.

If one looks carefully at the back, one can see that some seams have been sewn more than once.

It's almost the expected size - I think it will become a pot holder someday.

nice block. love your center. you are brave to show us all the back :)

I find the backs to be informative - one way or another!!!

I might be able to do it better now - I sure have learned things since I made it - but I'm still proud of that block!

So pretty and looks dainty. I would put a wide binding and use it on a small table. Guess Iv'e been on Pinterest too much. lol

misspriss has a good idea! and I too love to look at the back. It is very pretty, great job.

I like it. You have plenty of seam allowance so that when you bind/sash it, the block will square up nicely. As far as the back, I tell my students, you cover that up. No one knows but you how that looks!

You should be proud! I have never made a SAS, let alone a 6 1/2" one! That is a hard enough block at 12! SAS is definitely on my bucket list, in fact I have pattern printed and fabrics set aside. I plan on doing one that someone posted a while back that alternates snails trail blocks. It was a very cool result.

Sure is pretty!! Finish it and leave it on your dining table as a coaster or just something pretty. I do that with my lost blocks :)
