Strata Star Table Topper

4 Attachment(s)
I just finished a Strata Star Table Topper. I watched the video posted by Missouri Quilts and figured out how to do it. It matches the first log cabin quilt that I made in 2008. I'd made lots of quilts, just no log cabins. I'm also just finishing a bargello that matches them.
Thanks for looking,

Hi Dolly, I posted a reply here, but it must have gone to never, never land so I'll try again. Your quilts are lovely. I would love to try making the star, but have too many ufo's to start something new. Your choice of colors and blends is beautiful. I am wondering if you purchased all that fabric at the same time. Must have been bolts! LOL Thanks for sharing your pics. Barbara

Beautiful!!! Love the table topper.Have to check this out. Thanks for sharing.

Dollyo 06-13-2012 10:35 AM

I bought the fabric for the log cabin mostly at a LQS and some at JoAnn's. When I decided to make the bargello a couple of years ago, I bought enough fabric to make that. I ended up changing the dark purple and dark green batiks. I also needed a border fabric for the wallhanging. The center strip of the topper is the border fabric. The topper was made from the left over fabric. I ended up doing a 7 strip strata rather than a 5 strip because I didn't have enough fabric left to do the 5. I'm really glad that I did, because I love it.

What more can we say. Both quilt and table topper are AWESOME. The colors are so beautiful. I think I would fall off the fabric wagon for these fabrics. The quilting is also great. You sure have an eye for color. Will try to find the pattern and/or tutorial for this pattern. Just marvelous! Thank you so much for sharing. BrendaK

I was wrong, it was not MSQC. I watch their tutorials all the time and just assumed that was where I saw it. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNE3As-yctA It is not a tutorial, it's an advertisement for the kits that they sell, but with the help of another tutorial, you can figure it out. Here is the link to Vicki's Fabric Creations version of this pattern: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByHo...M3/edit?pli=1#
Hope this helps.
