ube,
How very beautiful!!!
I don't usually like "flower basket" quilts, but yours with the 3-D applique flowers is wonderful.
This is the most involved quilt I have ever made. I designed all the fruit and veggies myself.
This quilt is machine pieced, needle turned applique, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. It took me about 6 months and it is only a lap size quilt. I gave it to my DMIL for Christmas. She is a dear sweet lady and is not in the best of health right now.
I don't know if others would call these stunning, however, these are the most time consumming quilts I have made. The first one was for my daughter, Celeste

The 2nd was for my GD Chrystal

The picture was taken before the binding was done.
The first one was an applique and took about 50 hours.
The second one has approximately 3,000 pieces as each square is about 4" x 4" and there are almost 600 squares. The most difficult part of the second quilt was the placement of the squares. This one took about 75 hours and was completed about 1 month before my accident that took me out of quilting for about 6 months. Both were labors of love.
I am awed and inspired. Thank you for the beautiful morning.
I can see I'll have to add another subscription to my list. This is one thread I want to follow. Yes, the word is stunning! Each and every one of them!
