Success and a question
This is my first free hand free motion quilting attempt. I didn't trace the pattern - I decided to just go for it. Not perfect but I'm pleased!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...0114120019.jpg Also, I'm using a double needle for the first time. I want to do a single straight stitch using the double needle. Is this what the back should look like? I'm not sure I like the back. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...0114120037.jpg |
It will zig zag on the back, but the threads there look a bit too loose, so it stands out more.

My first attempt at FMQ wasn't nearly as good as yours! Kudos!
|
The backing will always be a ladder effect because you have 2 top threads using the 1 bobbin thread.
Good job on the FMQ ! |
FMQ with a double needle? I've never done that. the stitches on the back will always look double so to speak.
Interesting. |
I like the idea of using a double needle....I have done it several times, but always on wall hangings, so really nobody but me sees the back.

Great job, always take a chance, and we learn something new
Have a Blessed day Ellen |

Much better, ok, a lot better, than my first attempt!!! LOL
Great job!!! |
Nice FMQ. And yes the back is zig zagged when using the double needle.
