I've finally finished piecing the top of my quilt, after falling in and out of love with it.

This quilt so far has caused me nothing but grief, i've run out of fabric twice....... AGHH but i'm suprised how good it looks.

Now onto quilting it !!! I think large sunflower shapes to quilt it.

Hope you all like it I'm sure I will grow to love it again.

Very pretty-so bright and cheerful. Thanks for sharing your picture-it's cloudy and gloomy this morning here so it was nice to see all those happy colors. By the way, who's that peeking around the corner of the quilt? Too cute-my dog, Patches, always gets in pictures, invited or not.

loulou1972 08-23-2009 08:17 AM

The little dog pokinghis head around is called Patch and he's a naughty little monkey most of the time.....

I like it - cheery and bright

RedGarnet222 08-23-2009 08:28 AM

I am sure you wil love it again. I recently went though something simular on the board myself.

The little dog that made me laugh is the one in the background with it;s tal end sticking up. It looks like it's whole body is under the ground with it's tail in the air. LOL!

The colors are vibrant and I am sure it is going to be one of your favorites once you love it again.

This is so pretty! Very pretty fabrics and I love the layout.

I know you will love it again. I run into that. It's like you see the quilt so much that you get tired of it. Then I put it away for a while and I love it again when I take it back out.

It's so bright and cheery...I'm sure you'll love it when the frustrating memories fade a bit. You did a great job on it, and quilting with sunflowers sounds perfect!

sewnsewer2 08-23-2009 05:43 PM

Good job! Don't you just hate it when you run out of fabric?

littlehud 08-23-2009 06:15 PM

That is so pretty. What bright beautiful colors. I love your little dog too.

Harmony 08-23-2009 06:40 PM

Great job! I know just what you mean about falling in love with a quilt and then falling out of love. Some quilts seem to sort of help you along, and with others it's a fight all the way! I'll bet once you get it quilted you'll love it all over again!

wvdek 08-23-2009 09:47 PM

What a bright sunny quilt! I know you will love it.

earthwalker 08-23-2009 10:02 PM

STAR 08-24-2009 04:33 AM

I love how the green in the border just brightens it up but doesn't overpower.

Great job! and sunflowers for the quilting will be perfect1

Quilt4u 08-24-2009 05:07 AM

Love your quilt. How many Jack Russells do You have? Me I have 2. And it looks like are diging. Mine just jump and clime.

Quilting Aggi 08-24-2009 05:44 AM

love it!! I agree that big sunflowers would look great quilted onto the quilt! Now that you have the top done, after all the grief, I'm sure you are happy with it now!

kd124 08-24-2009 09:09 PM

hehehehe for running out of fabric twice i have a hard time believing. It turned out great.

cbuchanan 08-27-2009 11:24 AM

LouLou...love your quilt. It's so cheerful BUT I have a strange questions for you.

Is that really half a dog down in the gound in the left background? Has he dug a hole for his whole upper body? It looks sooooo funny.

Beth-Anne Bousquet 08-27-2009 11:39 AM

I like it, and think your idea of sunflowers will work well

thismomquilts 08-27-2009 11:46 AM

Love the way it turned out! Great job!

Sandra Craig 08-28-2009 11:15 AM

I love it the colors are great

loulou1972 08-28-2009 12:30 PM

The half of a dog in the background with his tail sticking up is a garden ornament... but the dog peeking around the quilt is Patch and he is very real.

Loulou

maggiemuggins 08-28-2009 03:27 PM
