Tell me what you think please!!!!!

I am making this for our little granddaughter who will be born Thursday ( mom will be induced as she has pre-eclampsia) and the entire baby room is done in princess theme with the castle and all. It took me a while to come up with a design for the quilt and fabric for it also. The background fabric is tiara's, the actual 3 D pinwheels have flowers and butterflies (the butterflies are a symbol of her little nephew who passed away just shy of 2 y/o of a very very rare blistering skin disorder) and the embroidery blocks will alternate between the castle, tiara, crown and wand and the words... little princess.
How do you think this looks so far?? Thanks in advance for all your opinions... Faye |
Oh I have quilt envy. That is gorgeous. I might adopt a daughter if I were promised a quilt with those blocks.
This will really be a beautiful quilt. I like the pinwheels very much. The colors are beautiful. Lucky little girl.
It will be amazing when done.
Cheers, K |
The baby will love playing with the 3D blocks. Looking good so far.

That is outstanding. IS THERE A PATTERN FOR THIS?
All the blocks are absolutely adorable, please show when finished.
That is what all little girl babies should have!
It will be a great quilt!
very pretty...

I think you have a great little girl quilt going. Would you like a suggestion? If so, I'd make the tip of the wand a 3D star stuffed with that crinkly fabric that makes noise. I don't know the name of the stuff but you see it in lots of purchased activity quilts. Maybe if you ask at JoAnn or Hancock Fabrics they'll know what it is. Just be very sure that you stitch the stars down so that baby doesn't choke. Just a suggestion, the quilt will be adorable either way!

Looks perfect for the princess themed room. You're doing a great job putting it together. Lots of work but isn't it worth it for those grandchildren. Hoping things go well this week for mama and baby. Bet you can't wait to hold that dear little girl and give her a big grandma hug and kiss. Be sure to give the mama a kiss, too.
