Thank you for the quick reply and hope this isn't a duplicate. My lap top ran out of juice and I lost my first response. I saw a lovely wall hanging at a quilt show in Venice, FL about 10 years ago. I have thought of it many times. It was a "Sunrise" made out of neckties. A couple years later I did see it in either a magazine or book that I purchased, you'd think I'd have been wise enough to tag the page!!! So, I have begun the tedious process of looking at back magazine issues & if that isn't fruitful, I will begin the books, ugh! The quilt photo is lovely and, if I can't find the "Sunset", I will brave it. Not sure how many ties were used, I have 56. thanks, Grammy Mary Lou

I'm working on a tie quilt similar to yours. Did you stitch-in-the-ditch between each fan blade after you complete the entire quilt or after you appliqued the fans at the top of the blade?
