I'm doing my part recycling. I made this from leftover denim from a long skirt I shortened awhile back. It is embroidered.

very cute and will be so durable, too!

It's really cute! Now that's really green. You recycled part of a skirt and you're saving the environment from bags. Three cheers!

I love your bag, but that sounds just like a guy doesn't it?? My DH would make me carry it  I like it though. I was thinking thats what I'll use my Mystery Tote for...it has fruit on it.

Bevanger 09-07-2008 04:57 AM

I have a pile of jean legs in a closet....they would make the best totes. Can I have the specs of your tote? The measurements. Are your handles just sew on the top part? Do you have a piece in the side or on the bottom? Can you tell I really like it  :D :D

Ruth Camp, I'll have to measure it later, it is in the washing machine right now.

But I will post it when it is dry.

UPDATE:

Ok, here are the measurements:

width: Top 20" tapered down to 14-1/2 at bottom

length: 12-3/4

straps 1"w X 20"L (I cut them 4" wide and folded in 1/2 lengthwise and then folded to the center and over once more and stitched.

I sewed the sides and bottom and then measured in 2-1/2 inches for the boxed bottom.
