First time I have used AAQI improved registration. It was an easy process. I use tiny scraps to create this special little quilts. Here they are:

AAQI is the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Intiative, an all volunteer organization that supports Alzheimer's research. Maximum size of the quilts is 9 x 12. Thanks for looking.

Great quilts for a great cause. Those are really cute. :)

Lynnie25 03-29-2012 09:26 PM

Oh gosh Gladie, your tiny quilts are beautiful and so small :) These quilts you make and show us just inspire me to keep aiming to use up even the tiniest of scraps.

sewbeadit 03-30-2012 12:29 AM

They are awesome and so are you. I love all of them but particularly the one with all the hsts in the square, my gosh how do you do that?

Oh My Goodness!!!!! ..... no wonder you haven't been saddling up with us in the PC corral lately.
What a great display ... your clothesline and the the individual pics are so nicely staged for us to enjoy.

A busy lady you have been and these are absolutely incredible miniature detailed stupendous amazing work.
That would be itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny work! :)

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!

There truly aren't words to describe your accomplishments!
And oh how lucky the AAQI are!

QuiltE 03-30-2012 06:42 AM

And what shall they be called? :)

jaciqltznok 03-30-2012 06:46 AM

You're right QE, AAQI quilts all need a "title" so here the list
1. Steps to the Cabin
2. Tiny Bits I
3. Tiny Bits II
4. Lazy Logs
5. A Simple Basket
6. Crazy Basket
7. Tiny Treasures
8. Itty Bits

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
sewbeadit--it's a toss up for me between Tiny Treasures and Itty Bits. The HST's are 1/2" finished and the 9P's are 3/4" finished. Because they are both so small there's lots of loving time put into both.
jaciquiltznok-- I just braided a piece of jute with some crochet cotton for the one and used black cotton thread in the other. Easy peasy.
Lynn--I know you can do it. Leslie Frost is spearheading an AAQI donation in the May DQ swap. I'm sure they accept a quilt from Down Under.

Your little quilts are wonderful! I'm excited to have another little quilt (Little Logs) in the AAQI April Quilt Auction.
Quilt Away!

Oh My Gosh! How in the world do you work with such tiny pieces. They are adorable.

jojosnana 03-30-2012 07:45 AM

Amazing work on such tiny canvases. I think I would get a big headache with all those tiny pieces.

QuiltE 03-30-2012 08:29 AM

OKSGlad ... well fitting names. I'm still in aw of your work!!

FiBurGerl ... what a nice cheery log cabin!

osewglad: All of your minis are great. Going for a very good cause. Wow!!!!

JJean 03-30-2012 10:20 AM

Wow! I admire anyone that can sew minis. Yours are all so gorgeous! My favorites are ones that went a little wild--with the big stitches. I say that because minis are so precise and "Precision" is not my middle name. Great cause! Thank you!!!

jaciqltznok 03-30-2012 10:30 AM

ha...I love the titles/names for them as well! How totally fun!!!!!

QUILTNMO 03-30-2012 10:40 AM

i like them all good job!!!

Harmony 03-30-2012 10:42 AM

Holy smokes! I can't even imagine how you made those so small. Must be paper pieced, but even so--they're awesome!

These are just spectacular! You're SUPER talented & I much appreciate what you do. My dad had Alzheimer's & a cure/treatment/better screening can't come soon enough. Thank you for your tireless work!

You are welcome. That's what's fun about the "liberated" style. Precision is not necessary!

No not PP, just small pieces sewn with 1/4 " seams. Thanks.

They are auctioned off or offered for sale on the following website. Last November 1500 went to the International Quilt Show in Houston and were sold there.
