I made this quilt with left overs 2" squares I had from some other project. It started as a Trip Around the World but it gets fuzzy with the scrappy look in the outer rounds. So I labeled it as a Trip Around Town... LOL. The zig-zag border is paper pieced. My first foray into PP.
I stayed with a friend for a week, and this was my hostess gift. Normally we have a blast, but her mother had a stroke on the second day while I was there, so we spent a lot of time at the hospital. (At 96, the mom is now doing well in rehab.) I hope the quilt doesn't just remind her of this bad time. |

Wonderful quilt. I'm sure it will be very special to her regardless of exactly which memory it holds. Even if it reminds her of her Mom, she will remember you being there with her. Glad to hear her Mom is doing well at 96!!!
