I made this bargello type quilt from a fat quarter book by M'Liss Rae Hawley. When it was finished, my DH told me it looked like the ocean. So I fusible appliqued some fish and seaweed to make it look like the bottom of the ocean. A friend did the long arm quilting for me.

Awesome! What a great way to use a bargello! You can see the light sparkling down through the waterI would love to make a bargello but they look so hard. Some of the directions I have read seem so complicated... Yours is inspiring to me!
