This is designed by Darlene Zimmerman for Robert Kaufman, and is due to come out in July. The rest of the collection is comprised of 1930's style tiny prints.
I think the dolls are completely charming. Ummm... but can anyone tell me what folks are making with this type of design? |
That is cute. I wonder too what you could make with this. They are too close together to fussy cut. I loved paper dolls when I was little.
That is adorable - I would make a quilt for a young girl, then make few doll dresses to match the ones on the fabric.
I think that this fabric would be adorable for accessories for a little girl's room....perhaps the panels in a screen divider....etc.
quilt backing and matching cases. maybe even window valances. definitely for dressing up a sweet girl's room by working around a quilt.
Those are so cute. I don't have a clue what to make with them.
Make paper dolls out of them. I would cut out one of each of the dolls if they are different, and put it on some stiffener, pelon or something like that, put a magnet on the back of the doll to use with a tin box (store the dolls in there) and then cut out the outfits and put a little magnet on them so they stay together. Maybe a little fusible web would stiffen the outfits if needed or maybe just a little interfacing. I would like to fine some of these and do them up for my oldest granddaughter who will be 7 the end of March

Fantastic! I have been wanting something like this. I made a throw for the oldest granddaughter with envelopes six years ago. Now I would like to make something along the same line for the four year old. With this fabric I could put the dolls in the envelopes. I am thinking a stabilizer on the back of the dolls. Maybe the back of the throw could be flannel to arrange the dolls. I think it could work. It might take some trial and error but I've had something of this nature in my mind.

I've got some paper doll fabric in my stash that I'd bought for my daughter. Now she's 16. Sigh... I'd seen the paper dolls made from them and I think they used a couple of layers of the super stiff, fusible interfacing??

How about a doll quilt for a grandaughter's doll bed? And a matching pillow? Or pillows for the GD's bed? Trimmed in pink fabrics and lace. Lots of ideas!! Adorable fabric!!!
