Here it is! A few months back I posted that my step-sister's fiancee was killed in an accident, leaving her to raise four boys. To help her grieve, I started this comfort quilt for her, combining her three favorite things (besides her lost love and boys)~butterflies, owls and purple. I designed and then figured measurements for the center panel and then just kept adding and designing from there. I wasn't sure how to subtly add the butterflies so I took the four corner blocks and FMQ some butterflies in there to quilt and added some embroidered butterflies to the quilt label.

This is a pic of the whole quilt.

Thanks! It was meant to help her heal but I spent so much time on the phone with her while making this (she lives 4 hours away-one trip), that sewing and quilting it really helped me heal from grieving FOR her. She doesn't know she's getting it yet and I can't wait to see her and just wrap her up in a hug with it.
