This is a most beautiful quilt. Hard to imagine ANYONE not wanting it. You found the right home, though, and that is what it is all about. God Bless You.

I just had this happen to me, but from my 10 year old great niece *LOL* I made her the cutest quilt with
embroidered angels and the response I got was less
than what I expected......but I will not let it bother me.....Rita Faye

I'm sorry but someone should slap that first recipient. (not seriously...)
Imagine what the different children will be like!

Congratulations on the guts to take it back and then NOT send her something else.

I like the quilt.

I'm glad you have a better person to give your quilt to. The other girl didn't desreve your hard work and the love that went into your quilt.

It's a darling quilt. So glad the second girl was very thankful and gracious.

Handmade gifts are not for everybody; I think there is a "Saturation" in our society, where there is too much of everything; in too many colors, themes, styles, sizes, and trends... People are filled to overflowing with details, and choices. Their closets, attics, basements, garages and sheds are stuffed. Be selective about the recipients of your hard work. In a sense, rejection is not about you, your handiwork, in a personal sense; but rather is a generalized state of mind. It's Out There--protect yourself.

some people are just mean, great ending story. Barb
