I went to a Dear Jane club meeting and several of the ladies suggested that spiral be added to the spine of my book. I took it to Kinko's and they cut off the spine and put a spiral in it. You can get it done at most office supply stores just ask.
It took a few minutes they cut off the spine and put a spiral back. It is so easy to flip and also leave open. So if you have one or more books that you use often doing this to it is worth it.

Check out picture of my Dear Jane books with spiral back!!!

Brilliant idea!!! That would be nice for cookbooks, too.

MoMoSews 01-06-2010 10:34 AM

What do they charge for doing this?

rootyr 01-06-2010 10:41 AM

Aren't they wonderful. I had a couple done at Staples and it was around $4.00 per book. SO worth it if you use the book a lot!

WOW!!! Great idea and not very expensive either :D:D:D

Yeah, it works great, we have had some of my husband's and son's favourite music books done too. Much easier to keep open on the piano or organ

Great idea!! I'm going to have this done to the manual for EQ6. You should see me trying to balance it open with my elbow as I try to type or scroll to do the examples. Yay!!
Thank you, thank you.

I've done this with my EQ6 books, too. Anything that you need to lay flat--it's well worth the money!
