I have to admit to all of you that I think I'm addicted to this board. Last week when I was reading various threads here, several members were talking about this and that site to buy fabric from  Well you guessed right, I jumped right on to some of them and spent, spent and spent. Oh my! First I have to confess two things....I have a serious cross stitch stash like some of you have a fabric stash so I'm quite nervous that I am now on my way to another addiction (my poor husband :) ) I bought from 3 places and received two of the orders already. Below is what I got from Craft.com I love butterflies so this just jumped out to me and when it said discontinued of course I bought it because there never will be any like that again, right?! Don't they have medication for this  My 2nd confession is that I'm building a stash but haven't made anything yet  One of the things I bought was a Bow Tucks pattern and I hope to use some of this fabric for that. I also hope to use it in a quilt I want to make for a spare bedroom that's painted blue. Every time I see the pictures of a quilt on here I want to make one (I have no fear!) Hope you all enjoy.

Aw, great stuff! At least its a FUN addiction, right?

That fabric is beautiful! It's a passion, not an addiction! :D

I have some really gorgeous prints that are just hanging out in my stash for now...I WILL use them some day, but they're so pretty that I don't want to cut them and screw up! hahaha So I'm holding off until I have a bit more experience, and just fondle them every now and again until I'm brave enough.

Don't feel bad - I have both a cross stitch stash and a needlepoint canvas stash  I have also been building my fabric stash for some years, though I have only recently got around to making my first quilts, lol.

Just dive in there and get started on that Bow Tucks bag, which is also on my list of things to do, btw. You will find plenty of help here, if you happen to need it :-)

Love your fabric. Watch thoses bow tucks. They are very addicting. I'm working on #13 now.

I have a stash of fabric for apparel (wools, etc...) and now I'm starting a stash for quilting... not all my apparel fabrics work for quilting and not all my quilting fabrics work for apparel :D I also have 18 5 gal. totes of patterns...
Addiction or Passion???? depends on who you're talking to :D

Oh you are not alone my dear. I have been doing some hooking hahahah, not that kind of hooking lol. I pulled out a large rug I have been working on for years and have been hooking for days now lol.

I also paint ceramic pieces when the mood strikes and for the past few days I have pulled out my embroidery and sorted through that and how about the dolls and the knitting and the folk art painting hahahahah

If there is, nobody is going to get any in me

Welcome to the passion, and the fabric IS gorgeous! (to me, it's whispering - make me into a 'one block wonder')

Welcome. You are in the correct neighborhood. I don't know of any medication to cure the passion. However, chocolate in just about any form will soothe your soul :-)

The bow tucks bag is very nice. Look at the tutorial on this site as it is very complete in descriptions of each stage of construction. You will find that there will be experienced quilters ready to answer your questions. Please remember that each of us learns from questions and answers no matter of long you've been sewing, quilting, etc.
