Your such a beautiful bride and I think your quilt looks wonderful. I can only imagine how difficult that first cut must have been, and I love your idea for using the rest of the fabric for ring bearer pillows.

Amazing. What a piece of art!
Beautiful bride! Gorgeous dress! I would have had a really hard time cutting into that dress!
Thanks for sharing!

What a lovely treat this dress will make in your sons' weddings.

But don't forget to put a label on it saying just what you told us, plus name and date.

I see so many lovely wedding gowns in yard sales for almost giveaway, always makes me touch it and wonder about what the original owner was doing now. What kind of life she had with that groom, was she still married to him? Why was it in a yard sale, to be sold for almost nothing.

Beautiful bride. Beautiful quilt. My dress was cleaned and boxed over 37 years ago and I haven't looked at it since. I should take it out and think about making a quilt too. I too had only sons so no one to pass the dress on to. Both lovely DILs were not my size. I really like your idea. That first cut would definitely be the hardest............

I think you should have your wedding photo (and maybe another of you and your husband) printed on fabric and use it on the back as a label. It's really beautiful.

Great job! I wish I'd thought of doing something like that with mine. I don't have it anymore, so too late now but yours is wonderful!
