Got the quilt at a flea market over the weekend..30 blocks 10x10..all hand pieced..then someone who had a machine added the sashing..I would like to wash it..either before I remove the block..and then do the blocks justice in a new top..have not been able to find the name of this block-

Darn, I love naming blocks but I'm completely blank on this one! In fact I've never seen it.

Neat block...unfortunately, I've never seen it...but it reminds me of a tornado... :)

by seeing these two blocks side by side do you think that they were meant to be sewn together with NO sashing?

A friend found it-Colonial Pavement and it does look like they are sewn side by side..mystery solved!!Thanks Nancy-

Glad you found what they are, like the block.

Wow!! That is the tile on my bathroom floor!! I have wondered so many times how it would look in a quilt!! :D

Love the block, but would not wash until it has been put together the way you really want it, get it quilted, then bound.
