I would go with the first one, it doesnt take away from the bargello.

I like the simple double border the best. Lovely quilt!

I like to frame my quilts with a dark border to hold them in....your work is beautiful...

I like the first one.....simple and puts the focus on the detail of your bargello work. Simply stunning! Great job!

My vote is the first one. It sets off the bargello. I really like the dk green fabric.

I also sent the pictures to my sister, my niece's mother. Before she was a teacher and principal, she was an art major... but more importantly, she knows what her daughter likes.

She picked the thin dark green, bargello pieces with a wider dark green border. But she thought it was important to match the bargello pieces to the actual quilt.

I have the small dark green border and two of the bargello strips on. The larger green border is just setting next to it.

What do you think?

This is the best one- like it

I Love the way you decided to do it.....It's gorgeous!!! I'm getting ready to do a bargello and like this border so much, I'm thinking I may do it with mine!!! Be sure to post when completely finished.....PLEASE

I like the first too! Keep it simple as the main part is complex and where you want your eyes to travel to and be framed! Nice work!
