I took these pic's with my cell phone so they are not very good plus the sun was hitting the window.
Both of these quilts are old and I wanted to bring them home but the items in the window are in a silent auction style. I couldn't hardly stand to see them hanging where the sun for a month was gonna be beating on them ruining them. I thought they were both beautiful!! Poor quilt is all raggy. The blocks are sail boats. I had never seen 1 like this before. Iy almost looks like cheater cloth. |
Wow, very nice, thanks for sharing. Sometimes it's amazing what you can find at a thrift shop.

The first one is a little too far gone for me but the second one is really interesting! :D
Looks like a spools variation. |

Somebody wasn't thinking to put them in the sun. Wonder if this will affect the bids.

Some people just are totaly clueless

Those fabrics are too frail to be in direct sunlight! Aaaargh.

Our church has a thrift shop The manager is a quilter-She would never put them in the sun BTW she is teaching me quilting I need to get busy!

Well loved quilts. What a shame that they are being exposed to the sun when they shouldn't be. Perhaps the shopkeeper doesn't know this and it may be worthwhile whispering in her ear?
