This is what I put together while watching Mare Stare.
It's the Yellow Brick Road pattern. I wished the color came out better. The color is actually a dusty rose/mauve. It's a baby quilt for some friends of ours. I fell in love with this fabric, but could only find the 3 prints. I found what you see in the little border, and that will also be the backing. There are colors in that which match the rosey color. Here you can see almost the actual color. The border will also be the backing. |
Terri, that is so cute! I like it!
|
Thanks Joyce.
You can see a little bit of the print with the rocking horses on it. I just thought that fabric was waaay too cute! Found the other 2 matching, but couldn't find anything else to go with it. When I found the blue....I was a little upset because I KNEW that there HAD to be a "pink" one to go with it. The balloons and the dress on the little girl match the rosey/mauve color, so I decided to go with that. |
Cute piece.
|
The balloon print just sets it off! And I really love the rocking horse fabric...
|
That is so cute! It makes me have to wave off the grandbaby karma :D
|
Love the rocking horse print. the quilt is darn cute.....lucky baby!
|
Very sweet! Great colors!
|
Thanks all. I'm thinking I am going to tie it, just to "stay" with the theme of the fabric. The fabric is old fashioned looking, so I figured it I tied it, that would keep it in the old fashion sense. Make sense to anyone?

Darling prints, Terri--so cute!!
The blue border is really effective, really sets off the quilt! (lucky baby) |
Wow Terri, you got this together quickly, it was only a day or so ago, you were stitching sweaty crotched poopie pants or something
I LOVE those fabrics, how cute are they, it's soooo sweet :D :D :D Terri, have a look on your camera settings, I just discovered that on mine it has a flower setting, if I take my quilt pictures with this one, the colours seem to come out that much brighter and truer, have a look on the little dial of settings, most cameras seem to be similar these days :D |
Great fabrics! This is really cute!
|
Very pretty!!
|
Cute Terri! And your quilt...!
K x |
Izy, I"ve tried all the settings and still not doing it.
There is a digital camera course coming up next month. I used my BIG Sony Camera to take those. It's a Sony F828 and I love it, but I have problems using it. Soooo...I figured I might as well take a class to LEARN everything to it. Thanks all on the quilt. It's really an easy pattern. Yellow Brick Road....takes 6 fat quarters for a baby quilt, but since I only had 3 fabrics to work with, not counting the backing, I just doubled up on it. I think it came out pretty! Ok, bedtime for me!! |
Great job Terri!

That mare stare is addicting. I'll miss it, but I sure enjoy watching her walk circles in the stall and thinking she's going to drop the foal any minute. I went to the yard to work a bit today, did the sewing thing for a bit, cut out the blocks for the 'ya know', and could not finish anything because I had to come back to see what she was doing. I'm so so so weak! Love those fabrics and the pattern and the downloaded version of the pic. Looks a little clearer. Hugs!! |
