Found this fabric on Thursday, and don't really need to do another quilt at the moment, but the material was yelling at me to buy it.- this is not my normal color scheme I like, but it really jumped out at me. repeat is 12" which one should I do?

I just love OBW!!!

SuzanneG 04-16-2011 06:05 AM

I guess I'm the oddball that doesn't love the look of OBW the way most quilters do! BUT, I do love the 4 patch posy quilts, so that gets my vote! :D :D

Either would be great. BTW do you have a pattern for the 4 patch posy? I have been looking and can't find one. Where did you get yours?

SueDor 04-16-2011 06:09 AM

I am working on a 4 patch posie and loved doing it. Haven't done OBW as of yet. The 4 patch seems to be easier.

Bright spring colors! Love the colors, but have not done either pattern, so can't help there!

nativetexan 04-16-2011 06:23 AM

i did a 4 patch posie with 12 inch repeat.

irishrose 04-16-2011 06:56 AM

I like 4 patch posies and stack and whacks better than kaleidoscopes, but that's just my opinion, so I vote for 4 patch posy.

OBW! Love the colors in the fabric.

mimom 04-16-2011 07:33 AM

Me too, your fabric looks like the perfect candidate for 4pp.

Do you have enough fabric to sample a block of each? I love OBW, but IMO would do the posie 4 patch block.

amma 04-16-2011 10:17 AM

Either would be pretty with this fabric :D:D:D

4 PATCH POSIE gets my vote. I am one of the strange ones that does not necessarily like OBW either. Most of the time they are too busy..

I like to hear that the four patch is nicer. This helped me decide which to do.
