What is your view on this quilt?
 

I made this a year ago and it just had a mind of its own. I loved every minute making this quilt but when I showed it to some people it got a cold reaction. There is no pattern I used two different size strips for the Log Cabin. to make it have more of a round shape. Now I have been with the QB for almost 4 years and I have loved it. I trust your opionon and I do know that if I like it it shouldn't matter what others say but I need some extra eyes on this one. it is a huge king size quilt because it had a mind of its own while I made it (it had to be made bigger and twist and turn). the back ground color is a sky blue and the other colors are pinks/browns and blue/browns. I will be quilting it soon just want to get some advice on if I should really go forward or put it back away LOL!

Definitely quilt it. It is a very interesting quilt. You love it that's all that matters.

It is looking amazing and great work done by you. Today more craze is there, for these type of things in market. Thee are having some specialty in it, really it's looking fabulous.

I love original work - I quilt from what I see just before I go to sleep - your quilt is original vibrant and most importantly one of a kind - Marvelous!!

I bet the negative reaction was because it is asymetrical - most people expect quilts to be symetrical. Personally I have been more and more inspired by things that are a little off center - it's an acquired taste and I love yours. I know how much work goes into such a quilt and appreciate it for its inventiveness. keep going!!

I have worked hard on quilts that I thought were beautiful and have them snubbed by non quilters. Even my oldest snubbed a quilt that I was making for him and my youngest snatched it up. It was an orange batik. My youngest got a kick out of picking the backing fabric - purple minkee! FYI - both my sons are in their 20's. One hated it, the other one loved it.

I say give it life. Go ahead and quilt it. sometimes it is hard to be unique ;-) I remember when you were piecing this and your excitement. Don't stop now.

I like the colors, layout, everything about it. It is a great twist on a traditional design. We all have different tastes. Those who are more traditional would probably have trouble with the design. I once made a quilt that I received mixed reactions on. The person I finally gave it to loved it.

You are showing it to the wrong people if those who see it don't like it. It is great and interesting.@

I love it. I'm a huge fan of working out of the box. And like you said,"It had a mind of its own". What else could you do? :D finish her up. Let the quilting "talk" too! I can't wait to see it finished.

I love it and would definitely finish it. You may have gotten that reaction because those people are used to looking at Traditional quilts. Some people can't look past the "what they think it should look like"

It is wonderful the way it is but, I think with the right border it will dazzle.....Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

Looks gorgeous! You certainly have a good eye. Certainly you should quilt it. It would be a shame to put it away.
