My dad tried to start a sewing thingy a few years back and he bought this machine and he sewed like he knew what he was doing, Well when I tried it I could not make it sew. 10 or so years later i dug it out of my shed, well it froze all up, took it apart cleaned it and got it running but could not make it sew.... ten hours later much research online who would have known, the thread goes in right to left not left to right.

Rosa is her name

I have one just like Rosa. It use to be my Mother's and i have a treadle that was my Grandmother's. They both work too.

I can certainly associate this with you. When I received my featherweight I was sooooo excited. Sat down to sew and my heart sank! Could not get that beautiful "Little Princess" to behave. Finally, pulled the manual and started reading. Put that thread in the correct way and who would have thought something so simple could be such a problem. Love, love, love, my Princess. She sews so beautifully and goes from 2 layers to 6 layers without a wink. Do hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

I had the same problem with my 201. The manual said to thread it one way and online I read to thread it the other. The manual was wrong!!!!
