Winter quilt top

I'm absolutely ready for spring but just finished this wintery quilt top. When I got this fabric I knew I was going to make a OBW, the swirlying blues and white reminded me of a snowstorm at night. I added some hexagonal snowflake blocks, some a bit more successful than others. Rather than squaring off the OBW I continued with a border of triangles the same size to fade from midnight blue to white with some teal and blue-purple mixed in. Only the final row of white had to be squared off.
I'm not sure how to quilt it, I'm going to think on it a while. I have enough of the print for binding but it might be too heavy, might use a white binding instead. |
I love your quilt! The extension of the triangles are perfect for this OBW. The colors do remind me of a snowstorm at night and with the added snowflakes it's perfect!
