Twelve long years ago I decided to take up quilting. My son wanted a Marvin the Martian quilt so he started drawing pictures for me. I think it took me a year to applique the Marvins. I only worked on them about an hour in the A.M. after everyone went to work or school. After many, many starts and stops I was determined to finish for the 2009 Michigan State Fair (which was the last due to lack of funding). I was totally supprised to get a blue ribbon. Finally Daniel has his quilt and I have the blue ribbon.

That is a great quilt. Marvin the Martian was one of my favorites and I love the fact you have some of the other aliens there too. Great job.

I adore your quilt, so creative and beautifully done. Showed a picture to hubby and he started talking in the Marvin voice, now see what you started in this household?!

Are these drawn on fabric? How did you get the image? Excellent work. Thanks for sharing.
