Xmas table runner and placemats

1 Attachment(s)
My BFF bought some beautiful Xmas fabric and a pattern. When she came to visit she brought it and asked for help. She has been sewing for a long time but never quilted so I gave her a little crash course on how to read the pattern, cut out the fabric and little tricks on piecing , sandwiching and quilting STD. We worked together and she finished it by herself...here is the results.....she now is cutting out more sets to give at Xmas...i think she has the bug...lol

For being her first things to quilt, this girl had a good teacher, and she did great. She would do well to join this wonderful group and get lots of great ideas!!! thanks for sharing.

RedGarnet222 10-14-2012 08:39 AM

What a neat thing to be able to start someone off in a worthy hobby! She will use these skills a very long time. (God willing) Not to mention if she joins a guild and many friends along the way.

The runner and placemats are so nice. YOu girls are a good team.

Beautiful!

ragqueen03 10-14-2012 01:44 PM

Great job - both of you! I love that you did it together. My BFF is coming for a visit this week and I took 4 days off to spend some time with her - hopefully doing some crafting! We did a craft show over twenty years ago and still laugh about how much fun we had. The strange thing with our friendship - she is staying with another friend who is best friends with my sister and i always say my sister is one of my best friends. So the four of us should have a great time! You can have more than one best friend right?

TacoMama 10-14-2012 02:16 PM

This is gorgeous! Thanks for letting us know the pattern.

huntannette 10-14-2012 02:27 PM
