Jill says this is an easy pattern, but it doesn't look easy to me. Maybe I am just a chicken

I'm sorry, this is the first I've heard about your loss, fires are so terribly devastating and especially cruel to our four legged loved ones who are so very susceptible to the ravages of fire. God bless, I know the little guys are watching from heaven. Your quilt will warm your friend from the heart out.

thank you. I miss my pets so much...I still cry everyday. I could hear my one kitty crying out from under the couch. But I couldn't get to her. That still haunts me. Spent 7 weeks in the hospital from my burns. 4 days on life support. Didn't realize that until today. Doctor told me. But I have a "new" buddy. She is a Chi-weenie" 12 lbs. Part chihuahua and part dachsund. Bundle of loving energy.
She is named after one the fireman that saved me. His name is Michael...so she is named Michaela. Just a bouncing ball of happiness. She is a rescue. I still cry for original "puppy" but she takes the sting out of it. God gave us pets for a reason. I believe that.

Today I went to the adult center. I donated a sewing machine that was hand delivered to me by a total stranger. They set it up in a nice little setting. asked me if I could organize it and tell them exactly what they should need. I was honored. Mary Ann was there, of course. She always goes in for a nap when she's there. Come to find out..the quilt was still there. I asked her why she didn't take it home. She said she has a live-in caregiver who sneaks odd women in her house. She is afraid they will find the quilt and use it for one of their nasty love making sessions. OMG! But I told her the quilt is hers to do whatever she wants. If she is more comfortable leaving it at the center and taking her naps with it..so be it. But I did tell I love her so much....and every time I would sit to sew, I could just see her smiling face. That this was truly a quilt made with love. I looked up and the aide that works there that was feeding Mary Anne...was crying. That made me cry and then Mary Ann cried. Love is a wonderful thing.
