This is the Yo-Yo coverlet that I made about 10 yrs. ago. I used some of every fabric I had used in making every one of the quilts I had made up until then...plus all those solid onesthat my aunt made for me.
I use this over a machine quilted white-on-white quilt. scalloped edge close-up center of coverlet showing texture full coverlet over white-on-white quilt |
Your coverlet is baeutiful, very elegant! An heirloom for sure.

Talk about a quilt journal!!!! That's beautiful!
My question is this: Did you 1. save a piece of each fabric then make all the yo-yos or 2. make your yo-yos out of each piece and save them up or 3. make the yo-yos and sew them together so that it's been a long running WIP? |
Your quilt is really pretty especially the scalloped edge. Great job!!

What a wonderful family treasure. I just can't imagine the hours and hours of work that went into this labor of love.

It took me several years to make and I did have a little help from my family. |
