A strange request from our second granddaughter that graduates from HS this month. She wants a zebra quilt for her college dorm room next fall. But no animals. Found a black and white zebra stripe then a black on black stripe. Combined with a white on white, I came up with this quilt. Not a great quilting job but found it hard to manage on my regular machine. While I was at it I hid names of her family and pets in the stitching. Thought you might like to see my version of a zebra quilt.

I can't believe that you posted this today. My niece just asked if I could make her a zebra quilt. I said sure. Then I thought "what was I thinking" My mind went blank. So I thought I would ask for ideas here on the QB. I didn't get the chance. I love your quilt. I hope you don't mind me using your ideas. Thanks for posting.

Sure, no problem. I saw this design in a table runner, so have no idea what it's called. My original thought was perhaps if I include a fabric pen she could have her friends sign it in the white strips. Still a thought. She has everything in her dorm collection of zebra stripes. I'm including a roll of duck tape in zebra stripes as a fun thing. You never know when something needs to be repaired and it'll match if it's zebra! BTW, the backing is all black and white stripes. Used left overs for the binding.
