I know most of the pictures on here are of finished quilts, but it's going to be a while for me...I am just proud I finished the 3rd row of my first big quilt. I am doing Joann's Quilt of the Month called Autumn Leaves so I can learn, since it had all the fabric pre-cut and has lots of helpful instructions. There are so many hours in this picture, but I'm sure it's mostly because I'm so new to this. I am picking up a lot of timesaving tips from this forum though! What I noticed is that the most beautiful blocks I worked on in this quilt are hanging off the side...I didn't realize they wouldn't be on the main part of the bed. The reason I liked it is because when someone is curled up in it, it will look kind of like a pile of leaves =) Can't wait to post my finished pic in a few weeks, I have learned so much already that I can't wait to start the next one. So far I like the applique the best I think.

what a lovely thought -- a pile of leaves -- It brings memories of raking a big pile and jumping in them. Lots of yellow, green and reds -- Great pattern. -- Thanks for sharing
