Thanks for sharing, Carol...I can see this as a bath mat...possibly using larger scraps and quilting a larger grid...

I know it's been awhile since this post came out, but I'm still thinking about it. How do you cut the x without cutting through the bottom layer? Or do you cut through all layers and allow the seams to keep the fabric stable? This is very unique.
