    Thanks everyone. I didn't have a pattern. Just sewed the strips to 4 inch muslin squares to equal 12 inches by 10 1/2 inches. Quilted the 2 outer pieces to a cotton batting. Sewed the lining the same size & put pockets on it. I left a corner open on the bottom of the lining then did that pinching thing on the other lining corner & the 2 outer layer bottom corners & sewed diagonally to create a flat bottom. Added a strap & sewed it together around the top right sides together then pulled it right side out thru the lining hole. Velcro closure. Done. Was fun. Mailed it out to Oklahoma today.

    what a great idea ! that is a very cute purse ,I just love it and Ibet your sister is very proud to use it knowing her sister designed it.
