My Niece came to Ky on her spring break. I had bought her a sewing machine last year but it seems no one in her family knows how to sew ..so I had her for a whole week..taught her how to use her sewing machine..went fabric shopping...that was fun..and she made her first rag quilt. I had so much fun with her..( I had boys)....hope she remembers all I taught her and will continue to sew!

she loved making her first quilt!

Looks like your neice had a blast! Sounds like great fun! You'll have to share the photo when her quilt's done!

Looks like she had fun, maybe she'll take after you and learn how to quilt too.

Catherine, what a great memory for you both. She has sewer's eyes to me, and she did great with the lap quilt, bet she does more.
She's going to go home, and wow, the family. Who knows? Maybe they will become quilters now :D. So glad you guys got pictures. Thanks for sharing this. I love stories with kids. :D
