Qayg ?
I just finished a QAYG quilt and I had lots of trouble lining up the center sashing when adding the rows. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a super duper, never fail method for doing this. It isn't too, too bad but still I would like them to line up. Also on the blocks when sashing them together I can't seem to get the seams of the strips to match up. These were all made using 2 1/2" strips on an 11" block but even when I was putting them together I noticed that the very end strip was different sizes.

I have done this process also and mine never match up perfect or come out exact size either but no one other than me ever notices.......just picture yourself riding by it on a galloping horse and you will never notice it. And no such thing as quilt police! I think your quilt turned out fantastic!!!!! I love it and it looks great.

Hello Blackberry,
It's a lovely quilt, and a really smart sewing machine too.
When assembling large panels of blocks with the QAYG method, you might like to try using clothes pegs to hold the large sections together. This way you can line up the joins. Match up the joins in the middle of the quilt first, and then work away from the middle to each side. Pins or safety pins just aren't strong enough to hold the big sections together. Here is a link to a blog post I did showing this.
